International standard pallet sizes

CBA Pallet: Throughout North America, the standard pallet size is 48″ x 40″. This pallet size was popularized and standardized by the Grocery Manufacturers of America (GMA) who found that it was much more effective to ship goods on large pallets than on individual parcels.Though the GMA has now changed its name to the Consumer Brand Association (CBA) the 48″ x 40″ pallet is still commonly known as the GMA pallet.

Australian Standard Pallet (ASP): Australian standard pallets are square pallets that are standard in Australia and non-standard anywhere else in the world. They are 1165 × 1165 mm in size and fit exactly in the RACE container of the Australian railways. Australian standard pallets are extensively used in Australian storage and warehousing as racking pallets because they can be removed from transport directly onto warehouse racking for storage.

Asian Pallet: The pallets are used in countries such as China, Japan and South Korea, and Australian industrialists transfer their products to the pallets for international trade. Measuring 1100 x 1100 mm, it is not compatible with European and North American pallet racking systems.

Euro PalletEuro 1In 1961 the European railways commissioned the standardization of a common pallet type under the auspices of the UIC as 1200×1000 mm. Following the standardization, most of the European industry switched over to using Euro-pallets with trucks, forklifts, and high-rack warehouses optimized for their size However, it does not fit well into ISO standard shipping containers and increasing global trade beyond Europe has contributed to a decline in its use. It is compatible with North American pallet racking systems, however.

Euro Pallet Euro 2):The European Pallet Association has formulated a total of six European standard size pallets, of which the second-type European pallet1200×1000 mm is very close to the North American GMA pallet, opening up the pallet racking system link with North America. This has contributed to its wider spread in Europe, North America, and Asia.

International 1067 pallet1607×1607 pallet originated in the United States, and it was originally mainly high-efficiency transportation machinery and equipment. It is widely used in the paint and telecommunications industries in North America, Europe, and Asia, although it is not suitable for North American and European racking systems, nor is it suitable for ISO container shipping.
