What’s the difference between a blow molding pallet and an injection molding pallet?

There are two types of plastic pallets: blow pallets and injection pallets.

Ⅰ, the process of production

The moulding process for blow moulding pallets is a relatively large hollow moulding machine. During production, the raw materials are extruded into tubular plastic billets, which are placed in a split mould while still hot. Immediately after  the mould is closed, compressed air is injected into the plastic billets so that the plastic billets are blown up and close to the inner wall of the mould.

The injection moulding process uses a large injection moulding machine to melt the raw material, which is then injected into the film cavity. Once the molten material has entered the mould, it is cooled and moulded to fit the cavity.

Ⅱ, product structure

The surfaces of blow moulded pallets are mostly flat structures and grooved designs, with nine-legged pallets and two-sided pallets.

The appearance of injection moulded pallets can be divided into plate, grid and other shapes. At the bottom of the pallets, there are various structures, such as jumbo, terracotta and nine-foot, which can meet the needs of customers in different industries and provide more flexibility.

Ⅲ, the use of the environment

Different manufacturing processes determine different operating environments. The blow-moulding pallet is mainly used in harsh environments and high-intensity operations; the injection-moulding pallet can be used in: different warehouses, cold stores and other environments and industries to meet the needs of different industries.

IV. Industry distribution

Blow moulded pallets are mainly used in the chemical industry; injection moulded pallets are mainly used in the food and beverage, chemical and pharmaceutical, logistics and other industries.
