Because the industry and logistics transportation standards of each country are different, some pallets are only used in certain countries and specific industries. This makes the transfer of products between supply chains or between countries not so easy. The packaging differences of products may mean that the products cannot be effectively placed in all the effective spaces of the pallets, and different transportation methods and means may mean that the pallets are not easy to fit into the containers, which may lead to low space utilization and product damage.
In order to standardize the consistency of pallets in the transport chain, various industry associations standardized on sizes and specifications. Then later, six of these standards were adopted by the International Standards Organization ISO as international standard specifications.
